Resource Centre News

This term, the children in all year levels will be reading the Children's Book Council Short listed books. Activities will be centred around these titles and Mrs Duncan is decorating our Resource centre with the childrens' art work.

The Titans visited our Resource Centre in Term 2 and read with our Year 3 and Year 4 students. The players encouraged the children to read for fun and signed thousands of autographs for their fans.

Big Chess is continuing to popular this year and students can book their game time through the Resource Centre.

New Books ~ We have purchased many new books this term and your child will be able to borrow these resources during their class borrowing time.

Hot Books ~ CBC Shortlisted Books, Skateboarding books, The Fairies, Drawing books and Pet books.

Lunch Times ~ Students are welcome to play chess, visit the computer room, read or catch up on homework during the second break in the Resource Centre.

Library Borrowing Limits

We have introduced new borrowing limits for the students this year.

Please encourage your child to bring their library bag to borrowing sessions to ensure they can borrow their limit each week.

Overdue Books

If your child fails to return their books each week, a reminder notice will be given to their class teacher.

If your child's books are not returned after 2 weeks, a request to pay for the items will be sent home.

We would appreciate if you could ensure your child is responsible for their library books each week to limit this correspondence.
